Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Decentius facing right, portrayed as a youthful Caesar with short, neatly striated hair and a light beard indicated by stippling. The effigy displays military dress with a fibula-fastened paludamentum visible at the left shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads D N DECENTI-VS FORT CAES, identifying him as Caesar under the usurper Magnentius, struck at the Treveri mint in AD 352.
