Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius II facing right, rendered in high relief with fine detail. The emperor's hair is elaborately coiffed, adorned with a prominent row of pearls forming the diadem, with pendilia hanging beside the ear. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder with a fibula, its folds rendered with confident engraving. The legend CONSTANTI-VS P F AVG is inscribed in Latin capitals around the periphery, reading clockwise from the left field. The portrait exhibits the refined, somewhat idealized late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Siscia mint in the mid-fourth century AD.
