Obverse description Diademed bust of Emperor Constans facing right, with flowing wavy hair adorned by a rosette diadem, rendered in a naturalistic late-Roman style. The emperor is depicted bare-headed with softly modeled facial features characteristic of mid-4th century imperial portraiture. The surrounding legend reads D N CONSTA-NS P F AVG, distributed in two segments around the periphery of the flan. The bust is draped and cuirassed, consistent with standard Constantinian-era silver coinage iconography. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of hammered siliquae of this period.
