| Reverse description | Reverse of this Kaku-Shunaka presents two vertically arranged punch stamps on the plain hammered gold field. The upper mark consists of a circular seal enclosing a quartered cross motif, surrounded by a crescent-shaped outer border, serving as an assay or authenticating stamp. Below it, a second rectangular cartouche stamp contains a single kanji character, likely denoting the issuing authority or quality certification. The surrounding field retains the characteristic granular texture of hand-hammered Kōshū gold, with the naturally irregular planchet edges visible at the periphery. |
