Obverse description Central field bearing four Chinese ideograms arranged vertically and read top to bottom, right to left, forming the legend 乾隆寶藏 (Qianlong Bao Cang, meaning 'Qianlong [Emperor's] Tibetan Treasure'). The corners are decorated with stylised cloud motifs. A surrounding border legend in Chinese characters indicates the regnal year, reading 年五十八 (Year Fifty-Eight, corresponding to 1793 of the Qianlong reign).

A surrounding border inscription in Tibetan characters indicates the regnal year, reading ལྔ་བཅུ་ང་བརྒྱད (Fifty-Eight), corresponding to the fifty-eighth year of the Qianlong reign.
