| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in the Athenian style with frontal eye characteristic of archaic and early classical Greek coinage. The goddess wears an earring and a necklace adorned with pendant drops. Her crested Attic helmet is decorated with three olive leaves above the visor and a spiral palmette motif on the bowl.
