Obverse description Bare head of Heracles facing left, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, the lion's jaws framing the crown of the head and its mane cascading in bold, deeply incised locks across the neck and field. The facial features are rendered with fine Hellenistic artistry, exhibiting a youthful profile with a slightly parted mouth. A Punic inscription appears along the upper rim of the coin.

Reverse description A powerfully modelled lion strides vigorously to the right, depicted in low relief with a pronounced flowing mane and musculature rendered with naturalistic detail. The animal is shown in a walking pose with all four paws clearly articulated, set upon a ground line consisting of a raised horizontal rule with a row of pellets beneath. A single Punic letter mem (𐤌) appears in the lower field beneath the lion, serving as a mint or magistrate control mark.
