Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line royal and religious inscription in bold nastaliq script filling the entire field, naming the ruling Shah and including the mint name Qandahar. The legend identifies Tahmasp I with his royal titles, rendered in the characteristic Safavid epigraphic style with elongated vertical strokes and sweeping horizontal ligatures. The mint name Qandahar appears prominently within the inscription, affirming the place of striking. No pictorial devices or geometric frames are present; the composition relies entirely on calligraphic arrangement. The irregular flan edge and flat relief are consistent with hand-struck silver production of the mid-sixteenth century.
