Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in high relief with strong portraiture characteristic of early Flavian coinage. The emperor is depicted with a broad, fleshy face, short curly hair beneath the laurel wreath, and drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The circumferential legend runs continuously around the bust, framed by a beaded border.
