| Reverse description | The personification of Felicitas (Good Fortune/Prosperity) depicted standing, facing left, in a long draped garment. She raises a caduceus in her extended right hand and holds a cornucopiae in her left, symbolising prosperity and divine favour bestowed upon the Roman state. The reverse legend SENATVS POPVLVSQVE ROMANVS arcs around the upper field, while the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in the lower field on either side of the figure. The composition follows the canonical Trajanic reverse typology, rendered in confident, high-relief hammered style characteristic of the Rome mint. |
