Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, draped over the left shoulder, portrayed with characteristic short-cropped hair and strong facial features typical of the Trajanic portrait style. The emperor's effigy occupies the central field with confident, slightly idealized realism. The surrounding circular legend reads IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P, identifying Trajan by his full imperial titulature. The die engraving displays high-relief modelling consistent with the best products of the Rome Mint during Trajan's reign. Patina presents as a deep brown bronze with areas of green encrustation.
