| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, with drapery over the left shoulder rendered in bold, high relief; the laurel wreath is clearly articulated with individual leaves visible across the crown. The emperor's facial features are depicted with characteristic Trajanic realism — a strong, clean-shaven jaw, prominent brow, and close-cropped hair beneath the wreath. The encircling legend runs from lower left to lower right around the bust, divided across both sides of the flan. The portrait exhibits the confident, authoritative style typical of the finest Roman imperial bronze coinage of the early second century AD. |
