Reverse description The reverse depicts an adlocutio scene in which Emperor Trajan, clad in full military dress, is seated rightward upon a raised tribunal platform positioned to the left of the composition. Flanking him stand two officers in attendance. Before him, an officer and four soldiers are shown in a standing group, receiving his address. In the background, three military standards are visible, adding depth and martial authority to the scene. The reverse legend IMPERATOR VIII S C frames the composition, with S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently placed in the field, as was customary on senatorial bronze coinage of the Principate.
