| Reverse description | The goddess Roma is depicted seated left on a pile of arms and armor, wearing a helmet and military dress, resting her left hand on a parazonium and placing her right foot forward on a helmet. To the left stands Victory, winged and draped, facing right and presenting a wreath or palm toward Roma. Between the two figures, a trophy or arms are visible in the upper field. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears divided in the right field. The exergual legend ROMA is inscribed in large, clear letters along the lower margin, referencing the eternal city and the Flavian dynasty's association with its glory. |
