Reverse description Frontal and left-side perspective view of an elaborate triumphal arch rendered in considerable architectural detail, its piers and entablature richly ornamented with relief decoration. Atop the central attic, the Emperor is depicted in a quadriga advancing right, escorted by a winged Victory figure. Flanking niches and projecting bays of the arch are populated with statues of Pax and Mars, accompanied by two soldiers standing in attendance. The senatorial legend S C appears in the field, one letter to each side of the arch, affirming the authorisation of this large bronze denomination by decree of the Senate.
