Reverse description A detailed architectural rendering of a triumphal arch presented in three-quarter perspective, showing both the frontal facade and the left lateral face. The arch is elaborately ornamented with relief decoration and surmounted by a sculptural group depicting the emperor driving a quadriga (four-horse chariot), flanked by a winged Victory figure. The spandrels and attic level of the arch are decorated with statues of Pax, Mars, and two soldiers in niches. The senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in large letters in the exergue or flanking the arch in the field.
