| Obverse description | Laureate head of Nero facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curls and a wreath of laurel; a small globe is positioned at the base of the truncation, a symbol of imperial dominion over the world. The portrait is boldly modelled in the characteristic style of Neronian coinage, with strong facial features and a broad neck. The encircling legend is incuse in Latin capitals, running from lower left to upper right around the periphery of the flan. |
