| Reverse description | A triumphal arch rendered in elaborate architectural detail occupies the center of the reverse field, depicted in three-quarter perspective with a large central archway flanked by two narrower bays, each supported by Corinthian columns. In the left bay stands a martial figure, identified as Mars, in military dress; a smaller figure, likely Pax or Victory, occupies the right bay. The attic of the arch is surmounted by a quadriga and additional figural sculpture, evoking the grandeur of imperial monuments. The large senatorial authorization letters S and C flank the arch to the left and right respectively in the open field. A beaded border encircles the entire composition. |
