| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Nero facing left, rendered with characteristic fleshy features and elaborately curled hair arranged in tiers over the forehead, with a ribbon tied at the nape of the neck. The portrait is bare-necked with the truncation of the shoulder visible at the base. The effigy is modelled in high relief in the bold Neronian style, conveying imperial authority and dynastic power.
