Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered with characteristic portraiture of the Neronian period featuring full facial features and layered hair. The effigy is shown with a paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder, lending an imperial and martial quality to the portrait. A beaded border frames the entire design. The encircling legend reads NERO CAESAR AVG IMP TR POT XI P P P, distributed around the bust from lower left to lower right.
