Reverse description The reverse depicts a dynamic military decursio scene in which Nero, helmeted and in military dress, gallops on horseback to the right, holding a spear couched horizontally. Alongside and slightly behind the emperor, a second soldier on foot — also helmeted and in military attire — keeps pace, carrying a vexillum (military standard) over his right shoulder. The figures are rendered with vigorous, confident line work evoking Roman martial ceremony. The legend DECVRSIO appears in the lower exergue in large capital letters, while the senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is divided across the upper field, flanking the central group.
