| Reverse description | A detailed three-figure congiarium scene set within and before a raised tribunal. At left, a togate attendant stands behind a low table or counter distributing gifts; in the center, Nero stands in military dress, extending his right hand in a gesture of largesse toward a citizen or recipient. To the right, a seated female figure identified as Minerva, helmeted and draped, occupies a throne or elevated seat, lending divine sanction to the imperial generosity. Above the tribunal, a small flying figure (possibly a Victory or Genius) is visible. The legend CONG II DAT POP appears in the upper field, and the large senatorial mark SC is prominently placed in the lower exergue, flanked by the two principal figures. |
