| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Nero facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair arranged in tight curls and a wreath of laurel about the head. The emperor's portrait displays the characteristic youthful features of Nero's early coinage, with softly modeled facial contours and a short beard. A radiate aegis or drapery is visible at the base of the neck. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the entire periphery of the coin, separated from the portrait by a raised border. The overall die work reflects the high artistic standards of the Rome Mint workshops during the Neronian period. |
