Obverse description Laureate head of Nero facing right, with a small globe at the base of the neck truncation, rendered in the characteristically robust, idealized portrait style of the Neronian period. The emperor's features display the fleshy, rounded physiognomy typical of his later coinage, with thick neck and carefully delineated laurel wreath. The encircling legend runs clockwise around the field, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The coin's surface exhibits the broad, flat flan characteristic of Neronian sestertii, with the portrait in moderately high relief.
