| Obverse description | Bare-headed and draped bust of Lucius Aelius Caesar facing right, with a full, tightly curled coiffure and short beard rendered in the naturalistic Hadrianic style. The portrait exhibits strong, individualized features characteristic of official imperial portraiture of the period. The circular legend reads L AELIVS CAESAR around the periphery of the flan.
