| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, the paludamentum visible at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic high-relief Hadrianic style, with the emperor's distinctive close-cropped beard and wavy hair. The encircling Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The bust is depicted from a three-quarter rear perspective, a presentation type associated with the later issues of Hadrian's reign. |
