| Reverse description | The personification of Salus (Health and Well-being) stands facing left in full figure, clad in a long flowing stola. She holds a patera in her extended right hand, pouring a libation over a flaming altar upon which a serpent is coiled — the serpent being the sacred animal of healing and a traditional attribute of Salus. In her left hand she holds an upright sceptre. The reverse field is framed by a beaded border, with the legend disposed around the periphery and the senatorial authority mark S C prominently placed in the lower field. |
