| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with bare chest and traces of drapery visible on the far shoulder, rendered in the classicising Hellenistic portrait style characteristic of Hadrianic coinage. The effigy displays a finely modelled likeness with the emperor's distinctive close-cropped beard, a hallmark of his numismatic portraiture. The encircling legend runs along the periphery of the flan in capital Latin letters. |
