Obverse description Bare-shouldered, laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the naturalistic Hadrianic portrait style with characteristic curled hair and short beard. The effigy displays a strong, idealized profile with finely modeled facial features typical of the Antonine-era imperial portraiture. The encircling Latin legend runs along the rim, framing the imperial portrait within a beaded border. The flan shows the characteristic irregular edge typical of hand-struck Roman orichalcum coinage of the period.
