| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with the paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder and visible from behind, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair, beard, and drapery folds. The emperor is depicted bearded, consistent with Hadrian's characteristic portraiture, and the laurel wreath is rendered with naturalistic precision. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Latin capitals, identifying the emperor by his titles.
