Reverse description Adventus scene depicting Hadrian seated left on a raised tribunal platform, his right hand extended in a gesture of largesse toward a citizen advancing from the right who holds out the folds of his toga to receive the imperial gift. Behind the emperor, the personification of Liberalitas stands facing, her head turned left, holding a coin-counting abacus (tesserae) in her right hand. To the far right, an attendant figure stands facing left. The composition, rendered in multiple ground lines, commemorates the emperor's third act of public generosity to the Roman people. The reverse legend and S C (Senatus Consultum) mark appear in the field.
