| Obverse description | Laureate bust of the emperor Hadrian, draped and cuirassed, facing left, depicted from the rear or side in a three-quarter view. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic Hadrianic style, with fine detail in the laurel wreath and the folds of the paludamentum over the cuirass. The encircling Latin legend occupies the outer field of the obverse. |
