| Reverse description | The personification of Felicitas stands facing left in full figure, draped in flowing robes, extending a branch in her right hand and holding a caduceus or cornucopia in her left. The senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed in the central field to either side of the figure. The reverse legend FELICITAS P R is distributed around the periphery, invoking the good fortune of the Roman people, a propagandistic theme characteristic of Hadrian's later coinage. |
