| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder, the portrait rendered in the characteristic bearded style introduced by Hadrian. The effigy displays strong, individualistic portraiture with curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The encircling Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, running clockwise around the periphery of the flan. |
