| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian facing right, the paludamentum visible at the truncation, rendered with finely engraved curled hair and a pronounced laurel wreath. The portrait is executed in a naturalistic Hadrianic style characteristic of the Rome mint during his eastern travels. The peripheral legend is incuse within a beaded border, running clockwise around the obverse field. |
