| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, viewed from the rear, with the head turned in profile. The emperor is depicted with his characteristic curly hair and short beard, rendered with fine detail typical of Hadrianic portraiture. The paludamentum is visible over the cuirassed shoulder, fastened at the front. The encircling Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, distributed around the periphery of the field. |
