| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Hadrian facing right, the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder as seen from the rear. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the characteristic Hadrianic style with a full beard and sensitively modeled facial features. The encircling Latin legend runs along the outer rim of the flan. The flan displays a distinctive green patina consistent with orichalcum alloy oxidation over centuries of burial or surface exposure. |
