| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Hadrian facing left, depicted from the rear or three-quarter rear view, a presentation known in numismatic literature as the 'heroic' or 'military' bust type. The emperor's drapery falls over the left shoulder, and the cuirass is visible at the right. The obverse legend is arranged in a continuous arc around the periphery of the flan.
