Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing right, draped at the shoulder, with a small globe depicted at the base of the neck truncation — a symbol of universal dominion. The emperor is rendered in a realistic, aged portrait style characteristic of late Julio-Claudian and early Flavian-period imperial coinage. The circular legend runs around the periphery of the flan in crisp Latin capitals. The overall portrait conveys authority and gravitas befitting Galba's brief but historically significant reign.
