Obverse description Bare-headed and laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing right, depicted with characteristic aged features and short-cropped hair, the wreath of laurel encircling the head as a symbol of imperial authority. The effigy is rendered in high relief with strong, naturalistic modelling consistent with the portraiture style of the Year of the Four Emperors. The encircling legend in Latin capitals runs along the outer border, framed by a beaded toothed rim. The portrait conveys the gravitas and severity traditionally associated with Galba's numismatic representations.
