Obverse description Bare-headed, oak-wreathed draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in the realist portraiture style characteristic of Julio-Claudian and Flavian-era Roman coinage. The emperor's aged features are rendered with individualistic detail, including a prominent aquiline nose and strong jaw. A circular Latin legend runs around the periphery of the flan, interrupted by the bust. The flan exhibits the broad, flat fabric typical of Neronian and post-Neronian sestertii, with a beaded border visible along the rim.
