| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristic aged features including pronounced jowls and a broad, slightly fleshy face. The paludamentum (military cloak) is visible at the shoulder, secured at the bust truncation. The circular Latin legend is distributed around the periphery of the field, reading from left to right. The portrait reflects the official imperial likeness of Galba as disseminated during his brief reign of AD 68–69. |
