| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, wearing an oak wreath (corona civica), with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy presents the emperor in a dignified, slightly idealised portrait style typical of early imperial coinage. The circular legend runs around the periphery of the flan in Latin capitals. The portrait is rendered in high relief characteristic of Julio-Claudian and early Flavian period sestertii. |
