| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with bold, naturalistic portraiture characteristic of the Julio-Claudian and early Flavian transitional period. The laureate wreath is clearly defined atop the emperor's head, and the paludamentum drapes across the left shoulder. The encircling legend is incuse in Latin capital letters, reading SER GALBA IMP CAES AVG TR P, distributed around the full circumference of the obverse field. |
