| Obverse description | Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing left, with a short neck and aged, stern features characteristic of his portraiture. The effigy is rendered in a naturalistic style with close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, and a ribbon tie visible at the nape. The encircling legend runs along the coin's periphery in capital Latin characters. The portrait occupies the central field in strong relief, consistent with Roman Imperial sestertius coinage of the Julio-Claudian to Flavian transitional period. |
