| Obverse description | Bare-headed, laureate and draped bust of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in high relief with pronounced facial features characteristic of late Julio-Claudian and Flavian portraiture. The emperor's aged physiognomy — including a prominent nose, strong jaw, and short neck — is faithfully depicted in the Republican veristic tradition. The legend encircles the bust along the rim of the coin. A small mark or mintmark appears at the truncation of the bust. |
