Reverse description Two allegorical figures facing one another in the field. At left, Honos (Honour) stands right, bare to the waist, holding a sceptre in his right hand and a cornucopiae in his left. Opposite, Virtus (Virtue) stands left, helmeted and clad in military dress, holding a parazonium in her right hand and a spear in her left, with her right foot resting upon a boar's head at her feet. The legend HONOS ET VIRTVS appears in the upper field, with the senatorial authority mark S C flanking the figural group in the lower field.
