Obverse description Bare-headed and laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing right, draped, with the portrait rendered in a realistic style characteristic of late Julio-Claudian and early Flavian-era portraiture. The effigy displays the aged features of Galba, including a prominent nose and short beard, consistent with his known iconography. The circular Latin legend runs around the periphery of the field, interrupted by the bust truncation at the base.
