Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, wearing an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Flavian-era sestertii. The emperor's portrait displays a strong, individualized likeness with pronounced facial features and layered laurel wreath. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor's full titulature. The flan shows the characteristic irregular edge and dark brown-green patina typical of struck bronze sestertii of the period.
