| Obverse description | Laureate head of Domitian facing right, depicted with strong portraiture characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor's bust is shown draped and laureate, with the wreath rendered in fine detail against a flat field. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading from lower left around the full periphery of the flan. The portrait displays the broad, slightly fleshy features associated with Domitian's iconography during his early reign as Caesar. The coin exhibits a deep olive-brown patina with areas of green encrustation consistent with ancient bronze burial. |
